Healthy baked sweet potato fries

IMG_9405Sweet potato is rich in fiber,vitamin A, good source of antioxidants and mainly they don’t belong to potato family (from web source).  If we deep fry them in oil it will loose some of these properties so I choose to bake.

It is very easy to make and yummysnack too. For weight watchers best snack if you are craving of fries.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ingredients:

  • sweet potatoes-2
  • chili powder-1/2 tbsp (only if you like to spice it up)
  • salt to taste
  • Olive oil-1 tbsp
Procedure:
  • Peel the sweet potatoes
  • Cut into pieces like french fries
  • Sort them with olive oil, chili powder and salt (no marination required)
  • Note: Seasoning is your choice, you can add pepper also.
  • Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 400ºF.
  • Keep them in baking pan in single layer make sure they don’t overlap.
  • Place them in oven for 20-25 minutes until they become slightly brown
  • sort/flip them over after every 10 minutes.
  • And serve warm (won’t be yummy afterwords) optionally with ketchup. But i like without ketchup so that i can enjoy the pinch of chili.
